This dress is very hard to find, even here in Paris, it has been sold out for weeks. We were lucky enough to locate one on our shopping rounds, and since we’ve received quite a few requests for this particular floral patchwork pattern, we decided to offer it to you on Ebay! Please note that we have only 1 patchwork dress available. It is currently sold-out in the stores.

Size 38/M. Sizing is very flexible for this dress style as the bust-line is elastic and the shoulder straps are fully adjustable. 100% cotton floral patchwork fabric.

While the Jerome Dreyfuss summer colors didn’t really enchant us (there still is a great Yves on sale at the boutique, if only it wasn’t emerald green…) the beautiful new fall palette leaves us spoilt for choice:

I especially love the new taupe grey and petrol. Other classic fall colors are: cognac, khaki, bordeaux and black.

The collection includes familiar favorites (Billy, Robert, Tom, Yves, the popular Twee besace …) as well as some great new options. This season is all about contrasts between maxi bags and tiny pochettes. Two new styles are the cute, somewhat retro, Hubert pochette, and the oversized Franky; both are transformable with an ingenious fold-over effect:

Due to popular demand Gerard Darel received a re-assortment of the coveted ‘Angelina Jolie’ maxi dresses this week, in a new color palette- including a gorgeous dark inky/purple color as shown here:

The other available colors are: dusty pink, chocolate brown, grey, medium sky blue, white, fuchsia and imho a less flattering orange/coral color (not shown). There is also a lovely printed version in the blue floral fabric from the original patchwork dress. See an approximate impression of the colors below:

These dresses are available in limited quantities and sizing (mostly size M/38) and retail for 270 €.

~ The dresses are also available in silk voile with a floral and art-nouveau style print (320 €) and matching scarf (50 €)

While summer sales at Gerard Darel are still going strong (until august 2) these dresses will not go on sale, neither will the jeans and suede pieces. The rest of the Darel and Pablo young fashion collection is now reduced 50%.

‘Eau du Ciel’ was my first ‘real’ perfume as a child, and to me this ethereal floral scent will always embody the nostalgic spirit of the house Annick Goutal… Every Annick Goutal fragrance tells a personal story, inspired by precious people and memories in her life. In the same romantic vein, the Parisian perfume house created a range of jewelry and lingerie to complement the olfactory moods of 4 of their classic fragrances: Petite Cherie, Quel Amour, Grand Amour and Songes.

The designer behind the lingerie line is Vannina Vesperini who pioneered the ‘dessous-dessus’ (under-outerwear) concept with her bright silk camisole tops. Her collection for Annick Goutal is composed of easy mix & match pieces in a luxe and comfortable lycra/silk blend. The lingerie is wrapped in a matching silk pochette with a lace ‘butterfly’ ribbon, and you can wear this ribbon with the camisole in lieu of the removable silk bow-tie~ so chic. With your purchase you also receive a satin ‘songes’ sweet dreams eye mask. Every detail, right down to the lovely packaging, is so refined; these pieces would make a beautiful gift. (messieurs, take note!)

The lingerie is available in soft peony pink to reflect the notes in the fragrance Quel Amour, and in passionate (yet chic) red for Grand Amour. The jewelry in these 2 stories includes heart lockets in patinated brass or red enamel and miniature cupid charms:

 
The jewelry motif for Petite Cherie is a tiny brass filigree butterfly matched with green aventurine beads. We especially love the necklace with free dangling chains in the style of an Edwardian ‘negligee’ necklace. A Pale blue lace corset completes this lingerie theme.

 Gold silk with black lace is a sophisticated take on Songes, a fragrance evocative of dreams and exotic travels. Perhaps the most wearable in “dessous-dessus” style, this theme also includes a wrap-around dress. The stand-out piece of jewelry is a golden brass multi-strand necklace, scattered with dark sparkling stars.

Vanessa Bruno reinvents the classic Lune bag in a ‘Nord Sud’ version which will make the Lune-toting étudiantes in Paris very happy. Designed to hold A4 files, this taller version will make a great book- or workbag. The leather shoulder strap (not pictured) is another practical advantage.

Both the classic Lune and the Nord Sud will be available in a lovely, subdued color palette for fall: Incense, a bluish grey -  Seaweed - Sienna - Havana, which I have not yet seen, but was described to me as a matte chocolate brown - and of course classic Black, which remains the most popular choice (as seen on Kirsten Dunst)

The bohemian jewelry by Isabel Marant is a perfect complement to her urban casual clothes.  The summer collection features agate slice pendants in bright purple/pink & royal blue, and brass charms with opaque gems such as agate, jasper, aventurine, rose quartz, smokey quartz and obsidian.

Prices for necklaces range from about 100 € to 160 € for the pear charm necklace. The summer collection is currently on sale – 30%.

Virginie Monroe is best known for her delightful butterflies which added a romantic touch to the MAJE collection this summer. Her pieces are made from brass with a sparkly coating, and we love the nature and fairy-tale inspired themes in her jewelry creations.

In the 70’s my mother used to wear a fairy necklace which I‘ve always remembered fondly as a sort of token from my childhood fairy-tales…I’ve often searched ebay in hopes of finding a similar one. Imagine my delight when I found the same vintage-style fairy in Virginie Monroe’s new fall collection! The ‘Abracadabra’ line features necklaces, earrings and rings with the art-nouveau fairy motif. Other favorite themes include ‘Apres la pluie’ (after the rain) with swallows in flight, and of course her signature butterflies ‘les Demoiselles’.

Prices range from about 40 € for pendants to around 100 € for more elaborate necklaces. The MAJE butterflies (112 €) are now sold-out in the shops.
